FallCon Gaming Convention celebrates its 21st year!
This convention is hosted by the FallCon Gaming Group and will run September 19-21, 2008 at the Calgary Marlborough Community Association, 636 Marlborough Way NE, Calgary, AB. FallCon attracts over 275 participants from across Western Canada and the Northwestern United States who enjoy the hobby of boardgaming and miniature simulations.
This year’s schedule includes over 30 highly rated boardgames and 20 miniature systems - many are award winning designs. Against a backdrop of fun, friendly competition and well moderated events; gamers, new and old, are welcomed to attend. The organizers prided themselves in creating an unique experience for all attendees and consider themselves as ambassadors for the gaming hobby in the Calgary region.
Traditionally, male players dominated both boardgaming and miniature simulations however the new game designs have created an appeal to both genders and crosses generational boundaries. All events are geared to those participants with little or no experience playing boardgames.

The FallCon Gaming Group is an affiliation of six local gamers who have a longtime interest in promotion of the gaming hobby. They moderate a variety of tournaments during the year, with FallCon being the largest gathering of gamers in Calgary and Western Canada.
