2008 Miniature Schedule Posted!

(2008-07-11)

Well finally, the schedule everybody has been waiting for has finally arrived. Just like the chefs say "Good stuff takes time to prepare". Or something like that. Anyways....

I hope you do enjoy the offerings this year. There is actually one whole flight missing this year. Is interest in Miniatures on the decline? I don't think so, but nobody has stepped forward to run any more events.

Notably missing to my mind are the games that have more of an edge to them, the cyberpunk, and darker games. If anybody has an interest in running any Miniature events of any kind, please get ahold of me at gaming@telus.net I would love to hear from you.

Peace: Brent

Pictures and Donation

(2007-09-24)

Well, so much for the nap.  We have received a number of FallCon Convention images  thanks to Thushyanthan Amirthalingam.  These are now posted under "Community" for your viewing pleasure.

If you have photos of FallCon that you wish to share with us, please send them along and we will posted the here.

On another note, during our auction, we collected $700.00 which was donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation on behalf Ken Bergwell.   Ken passed away earlier this year and will be missed by all his gaming friends.  FallCon would like to thank all of the gamers that helped to contribute to this worthy effort.  We appreciate the support!

FallCon is done for another year.

(2007-09-23)

FallCon 20 is done and we are all going to take a nap. Photos during the convention and photos of the winners will be on the site in a week or so.  It's now time for that nap.

Pre-registration ends at midnight on Wed, Sept 19

(2007-09-19)

We will be closing off pre-registration at midnight on Sept 19.  After that you will need to register at the convention when you arrive.  Also just a reminder that you should bring a copy of the boardgame you are in if you can.  Although FallCon attempts to coordinate so there are enough copies of the games, it is always safer to bring your own copy.  See you in a few days.

Dave

Auction information updated

(2007-09-10)

The auction information has been updated.  If you are thinking of auctioning any games, have a look at the Auction information under the INFO tab.

FallCon is looking for boardgame moderators

(2007-09-03)

We still need moderators for several of the newer games.  So here's your opportunity to help out and save a few bucks.  We need moderators for Marvel Heroes, Age of Empires III, Thurn and Taxis for Power and Glory, Colosseum, Zooloretto, Koalition, Descent - Journeys into the Dark and Imperial.  If you are playing in any of these events and can moderate, we would really appreciate it.  We provide lots of support for our moderators so don't be concerned if you have not moderated before, we'll help you out.  Please e-mail me at davebliz@shaw.ca.  Thanks.

Also a quick update:  less than three weeks to FallCon, we have over 100 people pre-registrered.  See you soon.

Dave.

Pre-registrations are coming in fast

(2007-08-12)

Over 60 people have already registered for FallCon 20.  Two of the events are already full.  Register early to avoid missing out on your favourite game.  Note that you can still register for a Full event, you will be put on the waiting list (and you can register for another event in the same timeslot).

Please bring a copy of any games you are playing in, if at all possible.  While we always try to have enough copies of games, if we don't have enough copies of a game, those that bring the game are given priority.

A few updates to the boardgames schedule

(2007-07-10)

We have just heard that Race for the Galaxy is unlikely to be available in time for FallCon so we have deleted that game.  If it becomes available before FallCon then I'm sure you will see it in the Open Gaming area.  Also we wanted to add Zooloretto, the Winner of the 2007 Spiel des Jahres award.  Here's the changes.

Settlers - Struggle for Rome has been added on Friday evening in place of Settlers The Stone age.

Race for the Galaxy has been removed.

Notre Dame has been added on Sat afternoon.

Yspahan has been removed.

Zooloretto has been added on Sat afternoon.

We will be contacting anyone that has already registered for any of the removed games.

Dave.

WE ARE UP AND RUNNING!!!

(2007-05-21)

Welcome to the new FallCon website!  Not only do we have a new logo, we have worked diligently to improve both the registration process and corresponding communciation about our convention.  It is still a work in progress and we welcome any comments or suggestions that you may have.  Additionally, if you should spot any glaring errors in terminology, events or messages, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The schedule is now up under "EVENTS" and you can begin to register.  Please note that we have a few games still under consideration.  If you are interested in playing in that event and we should make a change we will let you know.

Enjoy!  Comment! and we'll see you in September.
