They say one man's junk is another man's treasure...
A few weeks ago when Sarah announced that FallCon would be welcoming vendors to the con, one of the first questions we received was whether regular convention attendees could get a Vendor's Booth to sell their used games. You see in order to make room for some celebratory elements to our Saturday evening plans, we decided to reduce our auction numbers. Our auction always fills up very rapidly and it was even quicker this year due to the reduction in alloted auction spaces. So there was definitely a pent up demand for enabling the selling of used games among attendees. Hence the question about the potential use of the Vendor Booths.
Fortunately, we had a plan all along.
On Sunday September 30th, we'll be hosting a pre-owned Flea Market where attendees will be able to buy and sell games amongst each other before our gaming events begin at 11:30am. Sellers can either share a table and sell as much as they can for $25/half, or they can setup on a full table for $50. Doors to our Flea Market space will open to sellers at 9am to allow them to setup. The Flea Market will then start at 10am. As our hosted game events start at 11:30am, we expect most of the activity to occur between 10 and 11:30am. Sellers are free to leave their games setup after 11:30am if they desire but FallCon won't be taking responsibility for any of the transactions or the security of the games in the Flea Market.
If you're interested in being a seller at our Flea Market, speak to our FallCon Registration Desk staff on Saturday as that's when we will be registering sellers/tables.
Hope you like the idea! Perhaps a geeklist of games you intend to sell might be a good way to start hawking your wares... Off you go now. Post a link in the comments when you're done. :)
