One Week Left to Vote

FallCon Gaming Society - Monday, July 06, 2009
We're setting a deadline of Saturday, July 11th at midnight MT for voting on our People's Choice Game. So you only have a few more days to nominate and vote for your favorite games over on BGG. Again, if you don't have a login for BGG (get one now!) you can always post a comment here on the blog and we'll make sure to count your vote in the final tally.

We've got a number of great suggestions so far. The top vote-getters at this time are:

New RSS Feed

FallCon Gaming Society - Thursday, July 02, 2009
One of the great additions that came with the website redesign was the ability to syndicate our blog through a RSS feed. What this means is you can keep track of blog posts easily throughout the year via your browser or a news/blog aggregator.

Folks that read blogs daily often do so through the use of one of the following 3 aggregators: BlogLines, FeedReader and Google Reader. All three provide easy ways of subscribing and reading your favorite blogs.

You can also subscribe to our feed directly through your browser. Simply click on this link and follow the browser-led steps.

Here's hoping you become one of our subscribed blog readers!

Miniature Schedule Posted

FallCon Gaming Society - Sunday, June 28, 2009
Just a quick update to highlight the fact that we now have our miniatures events up on the schedule. We'll have the 3 remaining slots allocated as soon as possible but this should give our miniatures enthusiasts something to mull over should they wish to register to get that special early-bird pricing.

People's Choice Game

FallCon Gaming Society - Wednesday, June 10, 2009
Those of you who've already taken a look at our roster of game events might be wondering:

"People's Choice? What's that?"

We noticed lagging numbers in our Settler Variants Events over the last couple years and decided to open the schedule up a bit to allow a crowd favorite on Friday night instead. A geeklist has been setup on BoardGameGeek to accept nominations and votes. We're looking for a fun, tournament worthy addition to our schedule so head over to the geeklist, nominate a favorite and vote for all the games you'd be willing to play. Keep in mind, you may want to check the geeklist regularly to see what other people nominate.

If this is a successful initiative, you can be sure we'll implement a People's Choice Event again next year.

UPDATE: For those of you who don't have a BGG account, feel free to nominate/vote for games in the comments for this blog post. I'll update the geeklist as often as possible with your nominations & votes as long as the comments are NOT anonymous.
